This dried turmeric root has a musky tart flavour with a light peppery ginger aroma. The flavour of whole turmeric root is fresher and more vibrant when compared to ground turmeric. Whole dried turmeric root can be used to infuse dishes with its flavour. It’s often added to soups, stews, and curries, allowing the flavour to slowly infuse as the dish cooks. The root can be removed before serving.
